For the Community

Community outreach and education about health is one of the biggest endeavors with the population Centro SOL works on. We are fortunate to have the support of Hopkins professionals who commit to our mission and to support the community.
This time, in partnership with the community at Sacred Heart church in Highlandtown, the Healthy Community Partnership and Johns Hopkins Bayview, along with the Residency Program, in collaboration with staff across Hopkins institutions, we have presentations in the community.

Students, residents, faculty and staff share their expertise to educate our community about health.

This month’s topic is Lung Health. Parents and elderly learned about what kind of health issues one can have that affect our lungs, including, COPD (EPOC en español), bronchitis, and emphysema. These were introductory sessions that connected really well residents, students and community.

Thank you for your interest and support. No olvide compartir lo que aprendió para convertirse en un Embajador de la Salud!
