This fall we have a new member at Centro SOL, Luke, from Los Angeles, committed to work and support the Latino community in Baltimore, and future doctor.
Hi – my name is Luke Silverman-Lloyd and I am very excited to join the wonderful team here at Centro SOL! I am from Los Angeles originally but went to school at Washington University in St. Louis, where I graduated this past May with degrees in Global Health and Spanish. I will be working on research with Dr. Sarah Polk and will also help coordinate various Centro SOL programs and events. I hope to become a doctor some day and apply my passions for health and Spanish to providing care for the Latino community. I look forward to getting the chance to meet and work with everyone in the Johns Hopkins and Centro SOL communities!
Saludos – me llamo Luke Silverman-Lloyd y estoy muy emocionado para juntarme con el equipo en Centro SOL! Soy de Los Ángeles originalmente, pero asistí a la Universidad de Washington en San Luis, donde estudié Salud Mundial y Español. Voy a asistir a la Dra. Sarah Polk en sus investigaciones, y también ayudaré a coordinar varios programas y eventos en Centro SOL. Espero llegar a ser un doctor y aplicar mis pasiones por la salud y el Español para cuidar a la comunidad Latina.
