Summer Scholars Program

Programa Universitario

The Summer Scholars Program’s mission is to expose Latinx high school students who are bilingual in English/Spanish and bi-cultural to careers in medicine, research, and healthcare. By supporting them with resources and connections to make informed decisions about their education and their careers. The curriculum incorporates a student-centered approach and includes workshops to develop and reinforce professional development, college readiness and community outreach.

Applications for the 2024 summer scholars are now closed. 

Eligibility
  1. Must be 14-17 years old and a high school student.
  2. Students must be fluent in Spanish and English (this will be assessed through written essays in the application process and in the interview).
Duration
5 weeks (up to 130 hours including lunch break). Possibility of extension to 7 weeks.

Southeast Baltimore  

Cost

Free to participate. Students will receive monetary compensation for the days they attend and participate.
