2016 Sarah Polk, MD, MPH – Innovation Award Project – awarded by Johns Hopkins Medicine under the Discovery Fund Synergy Awards and Innovation Awards recognizing collaboration in Research.

2016 Tina Cheng, MD, MPH, Named Director of the Department of Pediatrics for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

2016 Centro SOL Teen Testimonios Summer Program – awarded by the Family League of Baltimore Foundation. Centro SOL receives this award to compliment the summer activities of the program, offering a strong rewarding experience for the participants and their families.

2016 Centro SOL ¡Bienvenido!Promoting respect, diversity, and inclusion at JH proposal to promote diversity and inclusion at Johns Hopkins received an award from the Johns Hopkins Diversity Leadership Council. The project was selected by the DLC committee as an especial project.

2016 Centro SOL Teen Testimonios Summer Program – awarded by the Blaustein Foundation. Centro SOL receives this award to expand the support and resources provided to newly arrived adolescentes in middle and high school ages.

2016 Centro SOL High School Summer Program – returning students – awarded by the Hirschhorn Foundation. Centro SOL receives this award to expand the summer program and host former Centro SOL students with a high interest in medicine and health technology.

2016 Centro SOL High School Summer Program – Planning Exchange Award in collaboration with the JHU CARES – issued by the Driskill Foundation.

2016 Bienestar student group receives Volunteer Week Award issued by JHU SOURCE, for their committment to serve Centro SOL’s mission and the community.

2016 Rheanna Platt, MD, MPH, National Institutes of Health KL2 Award for “Pediatric primary care as a venue for family mental health promotion- perspectives from Baltimore City”

2016 Flor Giusti, Inspired to Inspire 2016: Champions & Visionaires awarded by Baltimore City Mayor’s Office to a professional serving the most vulnerable, commemorating Women’s History Month.

2015 Andrew White, MSIII, co-Chair of Embajadores de Salud, and Jose Dominguez, Summer Student 2014, received the Mayor’s Hispanic Heritage Award 2015 in the Volunteer and Emerging Leader categories for their hard work, sincerity and dedication towards the improvement of the Latino Community in Baltimore.
